Meredyth Sauter

Meredyth Sauter is an accomplished business executive, athlete, advocate and inspirational leader despite being visually impaired. With two masters degrees, including an MBA from the University of Maryland, she has an extensive and successful background. Working up the corporate ladder to senior manager for Fortune 100 global companies including Deloitte, Accenture, and KPMG, she assisted in ensuring our national security and infrastructure. And after 9/11 she committed her career to the military, their families, wounded warriors and veterans. Her efforts included programs and projects to improve the personal and professional lives for those who served including the families whose loved ones paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Among her many achievements, Meredyth was the first program manager for the Warrior Games, served as a member of Lions Clubs International, was on various philanthropic committees, fundraised for the Foundation Fighting Blindness and was a participant and fundraiser for Sportable, a Paralympic sports club in Virginia.

After being diagnosed 15 years ago with retinitis pigmentosa, a rare inherited retinal disease, she continued to look for ways to have purpose and meaning in her life. Three years ago, she transitioned to academia working at a community college to improve underrepresented populations and to serve those with disabilities in achieving their career goals.

After relocating back to the Jacksonville area, Meredyth has established her presence in the community as a participant and supporter for the Brooks Adaptive Sports and Recreation program and as a Citizen-Member of Mayor Curry‘s Disability Council.
